In the Cascade System the blow-through steam from the drier group is separated and cascaded to the previous group. While in the Thermocompressor recirculation System the blow-through steam is reutilized in the same group.
• What are the advantages of Thermocompressor Recirculation Systems over Cascaded System?
Due to interlining of different groups in Cascaded System, reduction in steam pressure in a section (main) automatically results in pressure reduction of the remaining groups and hence the control is rigid. Moisture and temperature are difficult to control as a result of complex link up!
Thermocompressor recirculation improves the machine operation in terms of flexibility in steam pressure profile along machine direction without causing condensate flooding problems. The system is totally automatic and reliable and provides accurate control. It also assists in continuous condensate removal and thereby operating speed of the machine can be increased.
