Introduction

For your Hotel you would require steam for laundry, Hot Water System, Kitchen, VAC machines and Swimming pool heating. As this process load fluctuates, steam demand will also fluctuate.

Laundry is the major consumer of steam in hotels. Washing clothes, drying and dry-cleaning are the general operations carried out in laundry sections.

When the steam is not at the correct/desired parameters such as highest pressure, dryness fraction and cleanliness, this may affect the cloth processing rate.

Hot Water Systems

In Hotels, hot water requirement is maximum during morning and evening hours. Also, hot water requirements vary upon the hotel occupancy and season. Also, Hotels have very restricted spaces and compact design plays an important role in space savings.

Instead of conventional Calorifiers for hot water generation, Spirax has developed a compact Packaged Plant Room System (PPRS), which is the perfect solution for hot water generation.

Controlling Temperature and Steam

In the mentioned areas steam must be supplied at the right pressure to maintain desired temperature at the usage points. Proper control of steam pressure is thus essential.

The best way to avoid process problems is to accurately reduce pressure from main lines before each section with Self Actuating Pressure Reducing Stations.

Critical equipment can maintain their heating temperatures with self-actuated Temperature Controllers.

In the steam heated equipment, effective heat transfer is crucial for process efficiency and quality of services. To ensure proper heat transfer, condensate and air must be removed from the steam lines using properly selected
